About LilyCare

Many people have asked us where the name LilyCare came from.

Its sort of a strange story.  Our founding physician, Dr Mallberg was given a frog puppet as a gift when she first began practicing.  Fred has become quite a celebrity.  He delivered treats to many brave children.  As word of Fred spread, Dr Mallberg was given many other frog related decorations.
When Dr Mallberg moved to Minnesota to practice, Fred followed.  Dr Mallberg became known as the frog doctor to the children she met.

When searching for a name for our clinic to differentiate from the others, we wanted something demonstrated Dr Mallberg's approach to medicine.
She wanted her clinic to sound safe and be a home.  Fred spent his early years on a lily pad.  It was calm and peaceful there, and safe.  He thought we should name the clinic Lilypad. That sounded fine, however, but Dr Mallberg works on more than just frogs.  So we compromised.  We let Fred have an influence and called it LilyCare.
